My father recently said to my husband: "Hold onto her as long as you can- she's a wild one."
At first it just seemed like an off-hand humorous remark to him, but now that I stop and think of what my life so far must look like to my father, (the parts that he's aware of, at least) I'm sure he wholeheartedly meant it. Working on farms and thoroughly loving playing in cowshit throughout high school, marrying the wrong guy at 18, dancing for strange men at 19, divorced at 27, getting married again at 29.
I feel like I'm going to turn into the crabby old woman who just doesn't give a shit about what anyone thinks- I'm going to throw caution and self-preservation to the wind and just let the world have me. I'm going to wear wild outfits that darken to blacks as I age, and you'll see me in the park at dusk, feeding the pigeons. And once senility takes hold, I'm sure the clothes will start coming back off and I'll constantly be cited for indecency by the local law enforcement.

The Thong Thursdays of Past Days....
Good morning, y'all.
I'm listening to my iPod, and having music blasting in my ears is making crave the stage.....but not my old one. A cleaner one, with more room to roll around :D I wish I had been able to really conquer the spinning pole, but alas extreme vertigo and nausea always followed. A non-spinning pole is no problem, other than the occasional painful pole burn. Yes, pole burn is very similar to rug burn, but usually involves more sensitive areas, har har. Ow.
Life has been very good to me lately, this is the most stable and healthy than its been for about ten years. I have an amazing, supportive boyfriend who's also my best friend. We's like peas and carrots, y'all <3
Cashiering is interesting. People come through my line from all walks of life, some are cool and you can crack jokes with them and chat, some are so damn miserable. I always wonder about the super bitchy customers, I wonder if that's their normal state of affairs or whether they are maybe just having a super shitty day. Perhaps they just lost a loved one, or their house is being repossessed, who knows?
Ok, I need to end this and get to work on other stuff. My final paper is due Sunday, and then I'M DONE! At least with this degree. I'm undecided whether I will pursue a Bachelor's in future, but it will not be happening for at least a year. I have a sneaking suspicion that I will miss the higher education system eventually, after at least a whole year, haha.
And even though I am several years behind on achieving this goal, oh well. Nothing I can do about that now. Plus, I feel like I got a damn good, well-rounded education during the four-ish years it took to get here. Schooled in various heavy subjects, like math, science, business, nakedness, marriage & divorce, mental illness, and life. Oh, and bacon. Can't forget the bacon lessons.

Spring Sleepiness
Good morning
It’s a shitty rainy day outside, but it’s Thursday- one day away from the weekend. I have to make this post quick b/c I’m supposed to be studying for a Spanish quiz. This summer session runs for 4 weeks only, so it’s pretty intense. The teacher is super cool though, and funny. Thank God- it’s awful having a crappy teacher for an intense course.
I also have Black American Literature online class that runs till August. After that–I will be done!! Definitely done with academia for a long break, I might go back someday. If I’m anything like my mother, I might take it to Masters level. However….she went there, and never really ended up using it. What’s she doing now? Shoveling cow shit. Not that there’s anything wrong with that–frankly, she loves it. Hell, those that know me know that I love it as well. Like mother, like daughter. I thought I’d be the one to run away with a farmer, but she beat me to it.
I can’t wait to be done with school. Finishing some hurdles this season that have been plaguing me for a while– finished my divorce last week, only took me two years. Who knew a break so seemingly simple would require so much paperwork and tears of frustration? Man, he was so crazy after I left his ass. When I notified him that our marriage was totally kaput, he texted me a very sweet goodbye letter. At least he’s aware of all that I did for him.
Graduation will be the next hurdle. On the one hand, I know that I really wouldn’t have gotten done with it any sooner than I did, but half of me wishes I had discarded the crap and crappy relationships sooner and battened down the hatches and got it done.
However….life runs its course, and sometimes you get it right, but a lot of the time you get it wrong. or just life interferes and doesn’t let you do it right.
Well, I say fuck all that. I look around my current life, and I love it. I’m in such a good place, in an amazing relationship that has done so much for me. There was one person (who will read this, and will know I’m talking about him) who mentioned a couple months ago that I seem to let my relationships interfere with my own personal goals. And he was absolutely right, I did let the shitty relationships interfere way more than they should have, but all in all, I don’t totally regret them. If I could go back….well, what’s the use of going there? I am still young, and I’ve finally found the right island to set up base camp at. Every person on the planet has his own learning experiences and I’ve been lucky with mine. Yes, there is a failed marriage in the mix, but that was my own choice, and NO KIDS!!!! I win
Be back later, fuckers.
